SIGNS

Ume

Found this wi-fi sign at Kanazawa Station, Ishikawa (one of 47 prefectures/districts of Japan, located in the central region of the main island of the country). Kanazawa is the castle town of Maeda clan, which was one of the most powerful samurai families and governed the domain from the 16th century to the mid-19th century. The emblem they used to identify themselves was a plum blossom (or ume, in Japanese), which is also depicted in this sign. I think wi-fi signs are one of those signs that represent the sense of the place they belong to, and I'd like to observe ones whenever I go to new places.

Before capturing this I did a little tour of the sights of Kanazawa and took some photos as shown in the extras. It was a nice day.
