Money Maker

Every few months our village hall holds a fundraising coffee morning.
John, above, does beautiful black and white sketches of local sights and makes them into greeting cards and notelets to sell. LooseCanon and I sold off some well thumbed paperback books. Our friend G had a bring and buy table with jars of jam, rhubarb, tomato plants and an extremely ancient looking tin of Marrowfat peas. Someone actually bought it!
The older ladies settled themselves in seats by the coffee and biscuits and had a good old gossip. Children came along with their pocket money,and a raffle was held, and a few hundred pounds were raised.
We are doing quite well at the moment and have enough money to upgrade the toilets starting next week.
