In the pink

A memorably happy day. It's my favourite month, the Saturday of a Bank Holiday weekend, and the day of a much anticipated Royal birth. The nation has been agog at the arrival of a newly born princess.

I have spent much of today in the garden, doing some general tidying and putting up a row of bamboo canes for the runner bean plants and sweet peas. I thought that might make today's blip, but this beautiful cascade of pink camellia flowers seemed so appropriate for today's happy event.
