Opening Day

Opening Day of boating season in the PNW —gorgeous, but a bit windy for the crew races.   We had Nik and Oskar this am so that’s what we did—went to watch with a big crowd on such a day, - Nik had never been to see these boats.   He’s in 6th grade where he was the “example “ in the ErgEd class that all middle schools in Seattle have —as he’s tall and he's rowed our alden, and our erg.    So he “got” the difficulties out there….time will tell if he’ll want to be part of it… The extra picture is the final cup race with the UW and those “men in black” New Zealanders in the far boat —taking and keeping the lead - here about 200 meters to go.   Hurray for New Zealand!! - a long way to come -hope to watch them in the Olympics.

AND our first look at Fiona’s T-ball game.   She 's the only skirt on her all boy team... Oh my, that deserves a blip another day.,…I THINK there will be more....
