The hairy eyeball

Bee's eyes fascinate me as they appear to have hair growing on their eyeballs.  The angle on this one also shows those amazing eyelashes!  Women pay a fortune in extensions to get their's to look like that!

I was awake stupidly early (considering that it's Sunday) so I went to work for a couple of hours this morning and then out to the Red barn for breakfast.  I played around with my macro lens and bees on their sage but couldn't seem to get my timing right.  Fortunately there were also bees on the dahlias.

Don't forget the May macro mayhem challenge.  It gives me a great excuse to spend the whole month playing with my macro lens and not having to worry if I'm boring you all with insects and flowers.
