Thundering

You have no idea how these falls at Somersby were thundering today.  They were really quite deafening.  I haven't seen them this full and really there is probably too much water to make a good shot but when needs must...

I took a little detour out Maitland way to look at what was left of the flooding. Some roads are still cut.  You can see that the water must have got at least a metre above the road around Morpeth.  There were those big round hay bails caught on fences not to mention a collection of dead cars at one point.  While it has continued to rain today it does seem to be easing.  Fingers crossed.
