Lifting Fog.......

........ Lake Brunner, NZ

This morning, fog created a different atmosphere to the scene at Lake Brunner near the settlement of Moana.  The temperature was colder and the fog rolled up the Arnold River and covered a large area of the lake until the sun crept higher into the sky.

Today, we travelled to Punakaiki where we are staying the night and travelling home tomorrow – a slight change of plan.

Punakaiki is best known for its Pancake Rocks and Blowholes. These rocks really do look like a stack of
pancakes – they are actually 30 million year old limestone formations.
And according to the Lonely Planet’s guide, this is one of the Top 10 coastal drives in the world!
It really is a magnificent drive. The coastal views and rough sea and the scenery are magical.

So many thanks to you all for the best wishes, comments, stars and hearts for my 730th blip yesterday. I feel very humble with your response as I have been absent from blip for much of these past two weeks. You are really wonderful and I thank you so much for your continued support.
