A Poem of You

You mother...
You magnolia...
You that blooms,
blooms whitely
in the corners of my mind.
The curves and planes of you
awash in light,
your shadows have receded,
leaving me
to cope with darkness.
Mother moon...
Magnolia bloom...
You seem to watch me
from your distant realm,
watch me stumble as I feel
your scrutiny.
My heart becomes
a reaching and dodging entity.
I feel it startle
in the night of you,
while in the day of you
it cracks
and spills its yearning.
I seem to drown
in yearning.
Where are you?
