Peek-a-boo

A moning walk around Pennington Flash and the adjoining stretch of the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Gorgeous weather, lots of different birds singing (first time I've heard the loud song of a Cetti's Warbler in the north, and the first Swifts of the year), and the natural regeneration of these old mined areas continues apace.

These old lock gates seem to have been transformed into an art installation - which I like. Looked at from the other side it looks like a gigantic book, with the pages opened.
