Return to Capability Brown

This is the start of a project to mark the 300th birthday of Lancelot Capability Brown, in 2016, who helped shape the landscape at Trentham Gardens when he was employed here between 1759 and 1780. He also created the mile long lake that I frequently walk around.

This area of woodland was created as parkland, so it has recently been cleared, except for the redwoods and pines, and replanted with meadow seed. We just have to wait and see what grows....

At the moment it does look quite bare under these huge trees.
