Bluebell Woods

Today a friend and I went to the National Trust's Grey's Court near Henley-on-Thames.  We did a circular woodland walk which included some magnificent stretches of bluebells.  It was the most stunning display I've seen this year.

After our pleasant day yesterday, the weather turned last night and we had several hours of heavy rain.  This morning was so dark and windy I almost thought we'd be best to abandon our plans.  But it brightened up by afternoon and although it was still cool and windy, I'm glad we kept with our plans.  We managed to make our way around without getting blown away!  There's a definite tug-of-war going on with the seasons!

I feel so blessed to live where I do - so many beautiful things to enjoy!
