Wanderings & Witterings

All over bar the shouting

Falkirk's last league game of Season 2014/15 was a strange affair. The Bairns had beaten Hibernian in the Scottish Cup Semi-final a few weeks earlier, and hadn't lost to them this season, yet entered this match knowing that a league play-off place was beyond them. Hibernian, on the other hand, knew that a win would see them enter the play-offs in second place and therefore have one less tie to navigate in their quest for promotion.

Hibernian dominated the game and were much the better side; this time (unlike the cup semi-final) taking their chances and running out convincing 3-0 winners on the day. It was a disappointing end to Falkirk's league season but the fans - and I'll include myself here - didn't seem too bothered. "Rather Hibs than Rangers" was heard to be muttered on occasion. And we have the Cup Final to look forward to. Bring it on!
