Feeling flat.

Had a phone call last night at 11pm from a man saying his son had crashed his car through one of our roadside fences. No one hurt,but 50 yards of fence demolished. And the son had only passed his test on Friday. Not bad going,4 days to write off your car !
Spent a fair chunk of the day patching up the said fence to keep the sheep off the road. One didn't though,as I found it dead after being hit by a car.This road up the hill is like a race track,and they don't slow down much even with a Landrover and tractor sitting with all the lights going to shield us while fencing.
Wet again for most of the morning. That's well over 2.5 inches of rain in the gauge since Sunday. On the bright side,had another cow calved tonight.
