Where it all Happens

This is the teachers' room and where the 65 teachers hot desk it. It's quiet here in the pic as the teachers who were there were in class, but there are many times in the day when it's impossible to get a desk - usually when I'm looking for one! If you imagine where I'm standing taking this pic, just behind me there's another island of desks. It's one of the biggest BC centres in the world, has a great reputation and is a vibrant, supportive place to work. Many of our CELTA trainees aspire to working here and quite a few do get accepted onto the teacher support programme and if they get through that year's training/teaching are offered full-time contracts.
