A Crowd of Cowslips

Today was miserably cold and wet.

Finally, I got out with Basil to do a couple of circuits of Nanpantan Reservoir. I know Severn Trent have to maintain the place but it's a bit like scorched earth policy when they mow the grass right down.

They do seem to have been leaving the cowslips and primroses alone when they grow in clumps like this, thank goodness. These cowslips are 'going over.'

Choir in the evening singing Whitacre's Lux Aurumque (gorgeous), Lauridsen's Lux Aeterna and some Russian religious pieces - in Russian!
