Whatever...

..says the cat.  The rest of us are astounded and depressed by the election results.  

It's my Dad's 79th birthday today - when he was 8 in 1945, he walked home from school to find his street in Oldham festooned with flags, which he thought had been laid on for his birthday :-).  Of course it was VE (Victory in Europe) day celebrating co-operation to a common goal and the end of the war.  Today 70 years on there is a very different feeling about Europe and it saddens me greatly.
