Over emotional

Went to the last of the garden story times this afternoon in the pouring rain, all far too wet.  So the host in a very relaxed way invited all the infant school children and families into her house and I went too.

Valerie, the organiser of this year's book festival has been a powerhouse of efficiency and has pulled out all the stops..  

And she has a fabulous back up with husband John who not only secured outstanding result grant-wise but can read an amazing story..doing all the voices etc..  wonderful

A couple of exchanges with the little ones made me quite emotional as a reminder how quickly this precious time passes.   So (given storytimes don't make them happy any longer), we went for a spontaneous meal at the Harvester which I knew would go down well.
