Purple Rain

This lone iris has been begging to be blipped for a few days and I was hoping for some glorious sunshine to show it off. Sadly the rain has been relentless and the iris is starting to shrivel, so I had to grab it whilst I could. 

I've been soaked all day today, working in the garden, trying to finish the landscaping project. 

Tonight, I've got Alexander, (3 year old grandson) staying for a sleepover, as his parents have tickets for Paul Merton in Oxford. In the morning, when Alexander wakes, he will tap gently on the wall to let me know that he's awake. So cute :-)
