holiday (day 1)

 Lovely day. Sunny and warm.

After breakfast we cycled into the city to buy stuff at the garden centre, go to the bank and get the dynamo on my bike replaced.

While waiting for the repair to be done, we had an espresso and a prosecco sitting outside, to celebrate the election results (at that stage the final "English" outcome wasn't certain).

A walk in the afternoon through the local countryside. Then we opened the bottle of "local" prosecco we'd bought in the morning. It's local as in coming from the Wurzburg area - well north of here, but still Bavaria.

Another (Scottish) election celebration. I feel sorry for the rest of the UK, and sorry for Scotland still being in the UK. Especially the disabled, the working poor and others who aren't born with silver spoons in their mouths, or an offshore trust account or who (for some other reason) don't qualify for a banker's bonus.

Dinner was in the local pizza place - outside on the terrace.

The Blip is that prosecco from Wurzburg. Delicious, and only €8 the bottle.
