a splash of colour

...we have been luckier than many today, as it hasn't rained down here in Swanage. Our plan had been to watch the start of the Thames Pageant on TV before going for a walk but we became completely absorbed by it!

Last autumn, a short stretch of pavement in the lane near our house was given a facelift. Part of the work involved landscaping the little bank between the road and the path. We thought they had seeded it with grass but this is the spectacle that has sprung up! Passers by keep stopping their cars to take photos...
