Kew Gardens

We drove to Richmond this morning to visit Emma and Andy for the weekend.

Arriving in time for morning coffee we went into town and found a little cafe.

After lunch back at Emma's we walked to Kew Gardens.  It's many years since I've been there and it was great to visit again.   You would need more than a day to explore the whole area plus the houses and pavilions, but we covered quite a bit in the afternoon including a train ride and visits to the Palm House, the Princess of Wales Conservatory and the Pavilion, where I took this photo of the Lily pond.

On leaving we went to the local pub for a pint or two then into Richmond for a very nice meal at Zizzi's.
