Birds of a Feather

The starlings are in the full bloom of spring in our garden.  They have nested in the eaves and given birth to various starlets (?) all of whom descend on the garden and feeders squawking at the top of their voices.  We were watching them this morning when we spotted this white youngster, something we've never seen before though we did have a black and white blackbird visit regularly last year.

In other news: we went to Shaldon, Devon today for a short stay on the Coast View Holiday Park.  This is the site where we used to own our chalet, as some of my long time followers will possibly  remember. The weather is atrocious though luckily didn't get too bad until we were near Exeter.  Tomorrow's forecast is not any better :-(

We are staying in one of the sites newer chalet, very nice, especially as we know there's no maintenance, ground rent or service charge.  Unfortunately I don't think we'll be spending too much time on the balcony, it's so misty, even though the rain has now stopped, we haven't seen the sea yet except when we stopped for a cup of tea in Shaldon (see extra).
