Nesting

Before we left Skytop Lodge this morning, we drank our coffee on the back porch and watched this male Tree Swallow industriously building a nest in the birdhouse.  I was stunned at how fast he worked and I really enjoyed his acrobatic flying and gliding as he did it.  I have added an extra shot to demonstrate the beautiful blue iridescent color of the males. 


We have returned to our own nest today and I will be so glad to be sleeping in my own bed tonight.  I look forward to catching up with everyone here on blip over the next few days.
