Clacky Craws

Or, to give them their Sunday name, the Clackmannanshire Ravens. Blaming Andmoff for that colloquial twist. Going on that, today they played host to the Northern Pussies, or, to give them their Sunday name, the Highland Wildcats. Not that I'd say that to their faces of course, they seem to be a bit tasty when it comes to punting an American football around the pitch.

The local lads didn't make it an easy win for the visitors from Inverness - The game finished  22-34 - and Euan was much happier with his contribution today. A much more pleasant afternoon than the last chilly afternoon, and somehow dodged all of the rain. I did hear one of the American accented officials ask if the sun ever came out in this country at one point though, but the crowd that came along to spectate didn't seem to mind. Egg rolls, a packet of Monster Munch and some home baked cookies helped pass the two and a half hours or so, and I quite enjoyed having something a bit different to photograph.

There's worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon, though at some point I'm going to have to study the rules of the game a bit more so's I know what the hell's going on at any point during the match.

This is the Craws showing off their synchronised Can-Can at half-time I think. They could do with a bit more practice though, not one of them was in time with any of the others.
