Spot the dog

The thumbnail should give it away.

After leaving our hotel, we had a final farewell coffee on the main drag, De Keyserlei, before heading back to the airport. It was good to sit in the sun, and watch the world - and his dog - go by, on foot, by bike, and occasionally by motorised transport.

Things went a bit to pot after that. Mr A had his laptop and camera bag stolen on the train from Antwerp to Brussels airport, and while that was annoying enough on its own, it was compounded when we realised on the aeroplane that the bag also contained our house keys. So we had to call a locksmith when we got back to Edinburgh. Luckily, it all went quite smoothly and within 70 minutes of calling the locksmith from the airport, we were safely ensconced at home, with a new lock and a little less money - although it wasn't as expensive as I expected. Mr A spent hours changing passwords, and tomorrow I shall embark on the insurance claim process.

A bit of a messy end to a lovely weekend away - a great conference, and a wonderful extra day in Antwerp. Loved it. Lively, diverse city, with excellent food and drink. What more can you want? And as Mr A lost almost all his photos taken there, we'll just have to go back....

Sorry for not commenting - am miles behind on that. Backblips of Antwerp worth seeing if you have a moment.
