A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Wall

This is somewhat of a Late Blip as it was several days ago that M and I worked on this wall to make it safe.  "Working on it" really means lifting stones off it one by one which isn't supposed to be possible as it's not a dry stone wall but a lime-mortar'ed  one of Malvern stone.

Some of the top stones were heavy - definitely a two-man lift and they don't come with handles.

The wall is now about half the height it was and no longer likely to drop big rocks on small children, however, the tasks of (a) dismantling the rest and (b) putting it back together again, wait to be scheduled.  Quite looking forward to it, when I get time.

The trunk is the base of the dead Something (it would be easier to identify if it still had branches, let alone leaves) that we aim to have carved.
