Behind Bars Yet Free .

We went out walking the canal system this evening .Mainly to keep an eye on our goslings .( Sad news being the 5 are now 4) A rat or a dog ? I actually would say dog after seeing so many with their pets on awful extending leashes .We investigated another route and in doing so had to climb steps .At the top under the arches were bars, Behind these ,pigeons were lined up in a row .A very good spot for them , secure, sheltered, with a birds eye view through more arches . How true the words of Richard Lovelace:-)
           Stone walls do not a prison make,
                   Nor iron bars a cage;
