Dr Doolittle strikes again

A lovely morning working in the garden, finding spots for plants needing a home.  JJ had the Karcher out (other varieties are available, possibly) cleaning the patio after sweeping up all the leaf casings which have been blowing off the lime trees.

Another trip to another garden centre this afternoon where I picked up a few more plants for the front garden.

I was just going to have lunch when this Tapered Dronefly (thanks AJC for the identification) flew in through the open conservatory door, so I rescued it and it sat very happily on my index finger whilst I took a few photographs.
