Penzance Adventures.

We went to Penzance this morning, and as we were walking up the main street, i saw an elderly gent walking in front of me. He was leaning heavily on a stick, and he stopped to have a breather, but what caught my eye was, he was wearing a Bob Marley t-shirt. As we passed him , I said, I like you t-shirt, and he replied, so do I. He said, don't ask me where i bought it  from, as i forgot, but i have over forty. I wished i hadn't said anything as we couldn't get away.   We eventually got away and walked up  one the main street. When we were down here about ten years ago, J  bought a genuine leather belt  he has more than one    and he wanted to get another one. We were keeping our fingers crossed that the shop would still be there. Luckily, it was, and J choose the belt he wanted, and the guy proceeded to  make the belt to the right size. He also offered to fit new studs to the belt he was wearing  ( which he had also bought there,)and shorten it for him.  We were in the shop for at least twenty minutes, but J was happy. When we came out, we were walking back  down the street and J said, hold on i am going in here. He had noticed some model railway bits inside. As soon as we walked in J raised his eyes and gave me the nod to look at a rep standing at the counter talking to the owner. OMG, i wish you could have seen what was standing there. This person was about 6" 7" tall, with a very very short black skirt,  and legs reaching up to it's armpits.  On  it's head was a long blonde wig, and when it glanced our way it said to the owner, in a rather gruff voice , you have a customer. How i managed to keep a straight face , i will never now. The expression on J's face was  a picture. It reminded me of the song by the Kinks, called Lola. I would have loved to have blipped her/ he, but even I am not that brave. We came out of the shop and really couldn't believe what we had seen.       We decided to go for a coffee to get over the shock, and went into a coffee shop and had a light lunch. We sat in the window, and while we were eating our lunch , people watching, we saw an elderly lady, stop at a litter bin. She put her hand into the bin, and pulled out a half eaten sandwich , and walked up the road munching on it. We looked at one another, and we couldn't believe what we had seen.  We finished our lunch, and walked back to the car , and drove to Mousehole.  We parked the car on the outskirts , and walked around the narrow streets. Nothing exciting happened there, which was just as well, because i think i couldn't have coped with any more excitement. We bought some fresh crab meat, and some salad for our evening meal, so looking forward to that. Check out my extra photo.
