Above the Roof.

We decided that we would spend the day in St Ives. Parking is a nightmare, and we drove around the town looking for a place to park. We ended up where we started, at the railway station car park. It was full when we drove in, and we saw a man cleaning his windscreen. J asked him if he was going to pull out soon, and he walked over and said, It's your lucky day, i am going now, and you can have my ticket which is valid until 7.30pm. How lucky was that!  Parking sorted, we walked into town.  We spent a while browsing around the shops, and as it was getting close to lunch time, we sat on the front and J went to get fish & chips and a cup of tea. He was gone ages, and i got chatting to a lovely elderly couple who were from Manchester. She reminded me of Dora Brian. They were on a bus tour ,and were staying in Newquay. They were going on a trip to the Scilly Isles tomorrow, and had to be leaving at 6.30am. I will still be fast asleep at that time. She asked us where we were from, and we said, South Wales, she retorted, I know that, what part. What a nice couple they were. Our fish & chips were delicious and when we had finished, we walked to the end of harbour.  We sat just under the harbour wall, and watched the world go by.  Much later we walked back to the car, and as it was still fairly early, we decided to drive to Cambourne. It took us ages to find the car park, and then J said, There's a model railway shop here. We'll see if we can find it. We asked a young girl if she knew where it was, and J told her it was a shop painted yellow. She said,  i know where it is but it's painted red. Off we went, and found the shop, and guess what, it was painted red.  J walked in the shop, and his eyes were on stalks, just like a child in a sweet shop. He reckons it's the best model shop he has ever been  in *yawn* He didn't spend too much , but they do mail order, so i reckon a parcel could be on it's way to us very soon. Ah well, Joules may well be on it's way to me as well!!!! I can't believe it's our last day tomorrow, and wish we didn't have to go home, but all good things must come to an end, don't they?
