Long Day

My brother's procedure today could have been better in terms of results but it could have been much worse. We are grateful and will take the next steps one at a time.
Thanks to all who sent kind words and wishes our way.
It's been a long day and long few days if I'm honest.
It is hard to reconcile my wishes for my elderly parents with their choices at this stage of life.
How hard do I push them to do the "right" things in terms of health versus just ensuring they are comfortable?
Do they have the right to live on their terms at this point?
I am a "fixer" but I know I need to step back at times. It's hard. I'm tired.
Tomorrow will be better.
