Hands around the world

The latest Cumbernauld 'Points North' Messy Church took place on Sunday when our activities were all based around the Bible story of The Good Samaritan.

Our 'gathering activity' (an activity we encourage everyone to participate in as they arrive) involved making a frieze of hand-prints around a map of the world. We talked about what it means to help one another, whether at home or abroad, and what it means to be helped too. (We all need a little help from friends from time to time!)

What started off with people painting their hand one colour and pressing it on the frieze beside hands of different colours took arms and legs (in a manner of speaking only!) when one or two individuals decided to give their own hands the multi-colour effect.
