Ne'er cast a clout....

And here is the may (aka hawthorn, quickthorn, and various other local names).
Some people say that this saying means the month of May, and others that it is the may blossom. I like to think that it's the blossom.
This particular tree is on the edge of Coffee Pot Wood. I think the blossom is rather pretty especially in the centre, where some stamens are pink and others are dark brown.
