Fields of gold

For the second day running, a golden-yellow theme.
Today however, it is buttercups. This is the lovely orchard behind Anne Hathaway's Cottage in Shottery. Today they were holding what was billed as "A Right Royal Party" with plenty of bunting, balloons, and a barbeque, to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. There was also jazz music and plenty of games and dressing-up for the children. A lady dressed in "Queenish" clothing (i.e. a headscarf and tweed skirt) presented prizes to the excited children (although "Queenie" was in fact about a foot too tall, they still loved it.) Corgis were welcome - although I didn't spot any there.
This chap and his daughter were both dressed up in 1950's clothes. I just liked the way that they were almost hidden amongst the buttercups.
Sorry my commenting has been almost non-existent recently but we are still having awful problems with our broadband, and it's hard enough just to upload a blip.
