Pets

The dependents this afternoon. The new pet calf from yesterday is being is being thrawn. He still wont sook on the bottle, despite trying some different old wifes tales to try to encourage him. It is emotionally, physically and mentally draining when all you want the animal to do is sook some milk so he can survive and all he does is put all his energy that he has into not sooking. Husband and I are spent. We are having to put a tube down his throat into his stomach to give him enough milk to keep him alive. And in between this trying to get him to take it from the bottle. This is a picture of the new pet set up.

Have managed to muck out and dismantle the lambing pens in the other shed.  Apart from that feeling awful and distinctly fed up and in need of a break from the constant caring that the animals need. Unfortunately not possible so will have to make do with some chocolate.
