Still there ?

I was in Oban this afternoon for a surgery, a film show and a meeting.  Driving up from an earlier visit in Dunoon and a meeting with Argyll & Bute's new MP Brendan O'Hara  I came through Lochawe Village, as usual.

Every time I do that I wonder if this house will still be standing.  It looks - and has always looked  since I came here - as if it is about to slip down the slope on which it perches , and either finish up straddling the main road or disintegrate as it slides into the loch itself.

I have heard various stories about it in the locality but in fact I know nothing definitive about its history or its present occupation.   

None the less  it remains the most precarious building I have ever seen.
