Orange poppy

These poppies suddenly appear in  a very dark damp space under our front hedge and give a lot of pleasure when there is not much other colour near them.

Shopping this morning and then while N was planting vegetable seeds I treated myself and finished my book, " The Knot" by Jane Borodale, in a sheltered sunny corner of the garden with the dog lying on top of me in the reclining chair!  Very restful.
