Route Diversion

We had intended to do a 10 mile walk around the Fynn Valley just north of Ipswich. Starting in Playford then visiting Bealings, Grundisburgh, Witnesham and Tuddenham before returning to Playford.

The walk started well, nice weather, lovely rolling countryside, we even managed to negotiate our way around a field of cows.

Things then started to go slightly off track, a sign saying "Bull in Field" resulted in a short diversion. Further on we noticed at the entrance to another meadow another "Bull in Field" sign.. This time laying on the floor. We cautiously entered the field and walked on, the pasture had traditionally been several enclosed fields had been opened into one that ran into the distance. After about half an hour of walking we spotted livestock in the distance. After much debate we decided to sadly retrace out footsteps back to the field entrance.

This sadly brought the field walking to an end and we decided to take the road through Culpho back to Playford. This also requires taking your life into your own hands.

Reaching Playford we sat on a bench and ate our egg and tomato rolls. I've covered 8.6 miles today so far so it's not a complete disaster.
