Leafy stripes

I did something similar to this last year. I am fascinated by the variety of shape and colour of leaves in the garden before the flowers bloom.

Unfortunately I've been crippled with a bad back for most of the day - no idea of the cause - so am feeling sorry for myself. A short visit from D#1 cheered me up no end.
