10 in 10

This is the fourth time Jane and I have run a drinks station for the Brathay Windermere marathon.  Our daughter Ali works for Brathay and helps organise the marathon each year.

The race is very hilly and attracts about 800 runners.

One feature of the race is the '10 in 10' where runners have the opportunity to run the 26 miles round lake Windermere ten times on ten consecutive days.   

This year there were 15 mad brave people up for the task and this is Malcolm Collins who is running the 10 in 10 for the third time.  He has run 140 marathons.

I am pleased to report that all 15 runners who started this monumental challenge 10 days ago finished the task today
