New fruit

One of the new additions to the allotment is the strawberry.  Given soil restrictions down there, they are being grown in growbags.  There are 9 plants per bag which seems a little crowded.

I have made a table to raise them closer to the sun - it is actually a wooden pallet on shoogly legs in that true resourceful allotment way.

I kept a couple in the greenhouse to give a preview of whats in store.  And these flowers are quite charming.

Something else to look forward to.
