This morning saw the arrival or two electricians, two cleaners, one fire alarmist, one carpet layer.  Only the rain held off the two roofers. Tomorrow we have electricians, roofers, plumbers, garden designer,...

Good news on the leak front is that water is running down the inside of the interior walls.  Such a statement is not normally good news but that is where the drain runs in this house.  It had been bypassing this route a few days ago and running through the ceiling.  Still don't quite know how/why, but fixing that's now filed under Important rather than Urgent.

Drove to Oxford to collect A who's saying with us for a couple of days.  Run there was quite good, run back was a mess.  It was several miles outside Oxford before the cheer went up that we'd achieved 30mph.
