Clinging on

As it was a sunny morning I decided to take a quick trip to Hampton Court to try to snap some bugs, birds and flowers. Inevitably this meant that it was raining by the time I arrived!

In between showers I still managed a few shots including this solitary mayfly clinging tenaciously to a flower.

The extras are a fly which rather caught my eye and the collared dove which when I got home was looking a little more composed than yesterday although still performing some strange contortions.
