Time for a shelfie

A productive day writing at home, but out there disturbing things are happening. Some extraordinarily self-defeating policies have been announced even before the Queen's Speech. And it would appear that my employer is now involved in a enormous reputational own goal. But I'll say no more.

Hey ho. On the plus side, while I don't watch much TV, I did see two really interesting programmes this evening - on natural history in Arabia and on the Quintinshill train crash, which happened 100 years ago tomorrow. Sobering. We live just a stone's throw from the memorial in Rosebank cemetery.
