Queen Vic

The Queen Vic looking a little lonely amidst the debris of the re-modelling of the bottom of Leith Walk. It looks, finally, as if there might be an end to it in the few weeks time. That is, until they stick the trams down the hill...

This is snatched from the top of a bus conveying us to the environs of the University, where we were attending James Robertson's "Spyweek" lecture. I loved his And the land lay still and was looking forward to the lecture, but there came a point when we had been delayed for about ten minutes by the temporary three way traffic lights at the foot of the Walk when I wondered whether we were going to make it. But we did.
