Britain's oldest Wisteria

I took a lunchtime trip back to Bicton park for a flower shot for flower friday.  Was it just to bask in the glorious smell of this Wisteria I wonder?  The plant is very old and when I read the label nearby it informed me that its Britain's Oldest Wisteria having been planted here shortly after the species was brought to this country in 1816.  For a tree that is almost 200 years old the flowers and their odour still impress.

Thanks to BikerBear for hosting flowerfriday and giving me a focus for fridays.
