Interior - The George, Bewdley

Following an early morning appointment at the local medical centre I decided to have breakfast in town, at The George Hotel. This was a  privately-owned hotel of several generations' standing, but was taken over a few years ago by a national chain of pubs/eating-houses - Wetherspoons. It is actually still also a hotel, but .....

Anyway, they do OK breakfasts and I enjoyed Eggs Benedict and porridge with sliced banana and maple syrup. There, so now you know my innermost secrets. (As if!)  And my next 'appointment' was coffee with a friend in the café over the road - Le Petit Café - which I have featured recently.
