Scarecrow Festival

Last Sunday our village had a combined Open Garden event and Scarecrow trail. It was a successful day - Yorkshire Post report here!

Residents create 'scarecrows' - this year on the them of Gardens and Gardening - and place them in their gardens or around the village. People then wander around the village to look and actually talk to one another - it is quite a sociable event. A few of models have been left in place all week - so today I took the opportunity to visit one 'creation' that was placed on a bench at the entrance to Bramham Park estate.
