New Shoes

I bought my shoes yesterday and outside the store was the sales table.  On it was the foresters favourite boat shoes and in his size.  He went back this morning and purchased them.  His first pair lasted him 14 years and he still has them as knock about shoes.  Two years ago he bought a replacement pair and now he has a spare pair.  He likes to wear things out.  On the other hand I don't think I have ever waited until a pair of shoes needed replacing before I bought the next pair.
A wet day inside by the fire.  Friends are coming for tea and then we are going to the movies.
