Quintinshill

Before the Hibernian vs Rangers game today there was a minute's silence in memory of those killed in the Quintinshill rail disaster, 100 years ago yesterday. [This was taken just before the minute's silence.] The drill hall of the soldiers killed is only a few hundred yards from the ground so it was particularly appropriate. To the accompaniment of a lone piper, the silence was respected impeccably.

The game was quite exciting, with Hibs dominant in the first half, but they had to wait until the 94th minute before they scored, leaving Rangers to go through 2-1 on aggregate.

Glorious weather saw things finally starting to wake up in the garden.
